Developers of all skill levels can get hands on with machine learning through a cloud based 3D racing simulator, fully autonomous 1/18th scale race car driven by reinforcement learning, and global racing league.
Get started with machine learning quickly with hands-on tutorials that help you learn the basics of machine learning, start training reinforcement learning models and test them in an exciting, autonomous car racing experience.
Test these new found skills in the AWS DeepRacer 3D racing simulator. Experiment with multiple sensor inputs, the latest reinforcement learning algorithms, neural network configurations and simulation to-real domain transfer methods.
The new AWS DeepRacer storefront on amazon.com provides a complete list of every recommended item needed to host an in person race with your AWS DeepRacer device. From cars to tracks, batteries to zip ties, we've taken the guess work out of planning so you can focus on racing!
AWS DeepRacer is an autonomous 1/18th scale race car designed to test RL models by racing on a physical track. Using cameras to view the track and a reinforcement model to control throttle and steering, the car shows how a model trained in a simulated environment can be transferred to the real-world.
AWS DeepRacer Evo is the next generation in autonomous racing. It comes fully equipped with stereo cameras and LiDAR sensor to enable object avoidance and head-to-head racing, giving developers everything they need to take their racing to the next level. In object avoidance races, developers use the sensors to detect and avoid obstacles placed on the track. In head-to-head, developers race against another DeepRacer on the same track and try to avoid it while still turning in the best lap time. Forward facing left and right cameras make up the stereo cameras, which helps the car learn depth information in images. This information can then be used to sense and avoid objects being approached on the track. The LiDAR sensor is backward facing and detects objects behind and beside the car.
Pushing boundaries of head-to-head autonomous-racing, PoliMOVE competed at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway against a field of nine teams from 17 universities spanning six countries, seeking to break autonomous racing records.
The Formula Car Challenge presented by Goodyear is a National Auto Sport Association-affiliated car racing series, operating in four different regions across the United States: West Coast, South West, East Coast and Mid West. There is also an annual championship involving all four regions. While each region varies in terms of events, the series itself has three classes of competition, all powered by Mazda, with Goodyear Racing tires: Formula Mazda (FM), Pro Formula Mazda (PFM), and the FormulaSPEED2.0 (FS2.0).
The Formula Car Challenge was started in 2005 to allow for a high level of competition in a quality environment without \"pro racing budgets.\" By 2009 there were four regions in place in key markets of the United States. Goodyear presenting sponsorship was secured in 2010, as was a National Auto Sport Association sanctioned national championship. Mazdaspeed Contingency Awards associated with the Formula Car Challenge National title have included close to $30,000 in cash, and eligibility for the MAZDASPEED Career Advancement Award.
Formula Mazda cars are built to spec entirely by Moses Smith Racing except for the motor provided by Daryl Drummond Enterprises. A steel space frame with a 95-inch wheelbase is used. Power is provided by a sealed 1.3 litres (79 cu in) Mazda 13B rotary engine producing 180 horsepower (130 kW) connected to a five-speed racing transmission. All parts must be as provided by the official manufacturer, though certain aspects may be adjusted within regulations so as to accommodate the various tracks used.[1]
Welcome to the Learn-to-Race Autonomous Racing Virtual Challenge! As autonomous technology approaches maturity, it is of paramount importance for autonomous vehicles to adheres to safety specifications, whether in urban driving or high-speed racing. Racing demands each vehicle to drive at its physical limits with little margin for safety, when any infraction could lead to catastrophic failures. Given this inherent tension, autonomous racing serves as a particularly challenging proving ground for safe learning algorithms.
The Challenge is organized and hosted by AIcrowd, with the provision of challenge code, simulators, and challenge materials from faculty and students from Carnegie Mellon University, engineers from ARRIVAL Ltd., and engineers from AIcrowd. Third parties, such as Amazon Web Services, are providing sponsorship to cover running costs, prizes, and compute grants.
The notebook is divided into multiple parts for your pre-processing, training and testing phases. The full instructions for using notebooks are included in the notebooks, which should be adequate for you to make a successful submission. If you face any issues with the Notebooks, please feel free to post your queries on the challenge forum and we will get back to you asap.

Mario must capture the hatless New Donker controlling the RC Car at the beginning of the challenge and complete three laps of a short course with the car. The player must use the left .mw-parser-output span.longbutton{color:#000;font-size:smaller;font-variant:small-caps;white-space:nowrap;background:#fff;border:1px solid #000;border-radius:1em;padding:0 0.5em;display:inline}.mw-parser-output span.roundbutton{width:10px;height:16px;font-size:smaller;font-variant:small-caps;white-space:nowrap;background:url(\" _Button.svg/16px-Def_Button.svg.png\")no-repeat;padding:0 3px;display:inline-block;overflow:hidden} Control Stick to accelerate/decelerate the car and the right Control Stick to steer it, while avoiding losing speed by crashing into walls. Completing all three laps within 35 seconds awards the player a Power Moon and praise from a group of spectating New Donkers. After Mario destroys the Metro Kingdom's Moon Rock at the end of the game, the challenge is able to be done again for another Power Moon, though all three laps must be completed within 26 seconds.

Ten80 has hosted hundreds of regional and national racing events over the last decade that challenge teams of middle and high schoolers to own a fictional motorsports business. The students spend months designing and building RC cars. Points are awarded not only on race performance, but also R&D, marketing/design strategy and work toward becoming community leaders.
A huge week for Sprint Car racing in the state of Iowa kicks off Monday night in Oskaloosa with the Front Row Challenge at Southern Iowa Speedway. With a $21,000 winner's check on the line, a star-studded field of Sprint Car racers will be competing in the event.
Phil Allaway has three primary roles at Frontstretch. He's the manager of the site's FREE e-mail newsletter that publishes Monday-Friday and occasionally on weekends. He keeps TV broadcasters honest with weekly editions of Couch Potato Tuesday and serves as the site's Sports Car racing editor.
Outside of Frontstretch, Phil is the press officer for Lebanon Valley Speedway in West Lebanon, N.Y. He covers all the action on the high-banked dirt track from regular DIRTcar Modified racing to occasional visits from touring series such as the Super DIRTcar Series.
The palatial Circuit of The Americas plays host to the first racing action for the series of 2020 with CrowdStrike Racing represented in three different categories of competition. In addition to taking honors on the track, CrowdStrike aims to once again create a winning weekend for its guests and VIPs with unique experiences and business-to-business opportunities in Austin, Texas.
The move to TCR is one for which Moses is well-prepared. He has been racing since 2005 with multiple Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) titles as both driver and crew chief; that experience will come in handy for learning the ins and outs of the Honda Civic Type R.
